Andrea and Tim married a couple of weeks ago in St. John’s.  I’ve known Andrea and Tim for some time and could not have been happier that they asked me to document their wedding day.

My favorites frames….

I’ve done this enough to know a hot dress when I see one. ; )

I shot Lisa and Steve in this location earlier this year and I loved it so much I had to shoot there again when the opportunity came about!

In between photos the girls had to throw on the winter coats! It was nice….but I didn’t say it was warm!

I like this one so much I had to post it in color and black and white!

Seems like the weather has been a major theme for all of my weddings during the 2011 season. Laura and Ryan’s big day was no different. Not only did the forecast call for rain – but it was bringing us a flat-out Hurricane (Read more about Hurricane Maria)! Despite the day starting off very wet, when the time came for Laura, Ryan, and their wedding party to shoot the location photos, the clouds parted for long enough that we could squeeze in some photos outdoors. The sun even managed to make an appearance

Lisa and Steve returned to Steve’s home in Newfoundland last month for their wedding. The opted for a ‘first-look’ so we were able to start the day off with a bang heading to scenic Quidi Vidi Village.

Lisa and Steve, I had an awesome day hanging out with you both and getting to know you a lil’ better. I hope you’re settling in to your new life together and wishing you many years of happiness.

Bill and Stephanie are as good a match as they come. Both work in the same profession, both graduated at the top of their class, and they are clearly in love. When I shot their wedding a few weeks back the weather was gorgeous. September certainly made up for the sunshine we didn’t get during “summer”. They opted to do a first look for their photos (for anyone who doesn’t know what that is – essentially it’s  an opportunity for the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony and share those first moments as soon-to-be husband and wife together).  It’s a GREAT idea as it allows the couple to relax and gives them a few moments completely alone together.

Bill and Stephanie did their first look at Delta St. John’s Hotel and Conference Centre and it couldn’t have been better! The look of anticipation on Stephanie’s face while she waited for Bill to come down the stairs summarizes why I love photography. The ability to capture such a special moment in someone’s life is priceless.

Bill and Stephanie – thanks for bringing me along to document your wedding day! I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Greece! Mad jealous!

I had an incredibly hard time picking favorites…I eventually just had to stop! Haha!

Anglican Cathedral in St. John’s is by far my favorite church to shoot in. The light is gorgeous and THAT FLOOR!!!!

Another great reason to get married in late summer….the light! by the time Bill and Stephanie’s ceremony was over it was almost 5 so the sun was much lower in the sky…..makes for photo goodness!

Diane and Gary brought me out to beautiful Bishops Falls in Central Newfoundland late last month for their wedding and what a day! Sun was beaming – literally the hottest day I’ve experienced here in the Province all summer, 27 + degrees (Celsius for any of you folk reading this in the ol’ US of A). The ceremony took place on the banks of the Exploits River among family and friends…..we even had one on-looker swing by on their Sea-Do0!

Diane and Gary’s wedding day was a lot of fun and was filled with a lot of laughs, especially during the location shoots and reception.

We even had some pull to get us on a local farm for pictures! Deadly gear.

Thank you both for your hospitality and having me along.

I’ve probably known Sue since I was 4 or 5 years old. Even before we entered Kindergarten we went to the same day care.  So when Aaron and Susan contacted me last year about shooting their wedding, it was a no brainer!
Susan and Aaron are a great match – easy-going, enjoy having a good time and surrounded by friends and family who love them dearly.

So good to catch up again Sue…..a big thank you to you and Aaron for inviting me into your lives for such a special day.

I first met Genee while attending Jr. High and we remained friends all throughout high school and university but lost touch after a while which unfortunately tends to happen with some of your friends from school. I was thrilled when she contacted me a couple of months ago and told me she’d be in town with her family for Sue and Aaron’s wedding (post coming soon – head over to my Facebook Page to check out a sneak peek of Sue and Aaron). Genee told me they had some free time and wanted to have a family portraits done. It was awesome to meet her two lil’ boys, Jacob and Alex and her husband Steve. We headed out on a gorgeous Sunday evening and had some fun and of course took some photos.

Great catching up with you Genee and great meeting Steve and the boys. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip home this summer.
